Introduction to felt making

Saturday 28th February 2009 10am - 4pm
Learn the basic techniques of felt making on this one-day course. Techniques covered will include basic felt making, felt beads, nuno felting and needle felting. After initially learning the felt making process choose which other techniques you would like to try. A small group of 4 allows plenty of time for one to one tuition.
Make a mixed media canvas
Choose from one of the following dates:
Saturday 7th February 2009 10am - 4pm
Saturday 21st March 2009 10am - 4pm
Make a mixed media canvas exploring different techniques including block printing, transfer printing and painted fusible fabric. Experimenting with different techniques to produce a range of samples which will then be torn, cut, collaged and rearranged to produce the finished canvas. One canvas approx. 20cm square is included in the cost of the course.
All courses cost £50 per day and include all materials. You will need to bring your own lunch but coffee/tea and biscuits are provided throughout the day.
